Where to install a muffle furnace?
When planning the location of the muffle furnace, there are a few key points to consider: 1) Dimensions of the room and doorways. The oven may only be transported in a vertical position. It is categorically impossible to turn over the muffle furnace for skidding into the room. The overall dimensions of the oven you are interested in, upon request, will be provided by our manager. Dimensions examples of our most popular muffle furnaces for ceramics. 27l - Width: 570mm Depth: 540mm Height: 630mm (weight ~75kg) 40l - Width: 630mm Depth: 580mm Height: 650mm (weight ~85kg) 60l - Width: 680mm Depth: 650mm Height: 750mm (weight ~95kg) 80l - Width: 680mm Depth: 730mm Height: 750mm (weight ~110kg) (basic parameter for measuring a doorway: depth) In some cases, to reduce the size of the muffle furnace, you can remove the door and other attachments from it. Two people are enough to carry the oven by special handles. 2) Permissible electrical connection power. For this information, it is best to contact your local electrician or your local electrical company. It is important to clarify how many phases are brought into the room. If only one phase is available, then you will have to limit yourself to small sizes of furnaces, which are enough to operate 220V. If you have access to 3 phases of 380V, then the choice will be much larger. It is possible to install both one large furnace and several small ones. In total, there are 2 main options for connecting 220V and 380V. Also, an important factor is the allowable power for each of the phases (or one in cases with 220V). Energy consumption examples of our most popular muffle furnaces for ceramics. 27L – 2.8kW 220V 40L – 3.5kW 220V 60L – 4.5kW 220V 80L – 5.5kW 220V 175l - 10.5kw 380V See the electricity consumption of other stoves in the products on our website or check with the manager. Most often, to install a muffle furnace in an apartment, they choose the size of the furnace 40-60l, in private houses 80l, in pottery workshops 60-175l. The furnace is accompanied by detailed instructions for connecting the muffle furnace and the socket, you can also read the instructions on our website or watch the video instruction on our Youtube channel.

Can the muffle furnace be installed in an unheated room?
Installation of the furnace is possible in absolutely any room. The main thing is that the room is closed from rain / snow, and it is not too wet. Thermal insulation very easily absorbs moisture and reluctantly gives it away. Moisture has a destructive effect on the heat-insulating materials of the muffle furnace. Many of our customers use stoves on balconies, verandas and loggias. You can also use the stove in unheated rooms: garage, barn, change house. At negative temperatures, below -10 degrees, the display of the Thermodat thermostat may slow down, but this does not affect performance.

Which muffle furnace to choose
Brief introduction: Muffle furnaces can be divided into 3 main groups: 1) Handicraft 2) Industrial 3) Laboratory The operating temperatures may be identical, but the tasks of these ovens are different. Basic requirements for handicraft ovens: ease of operation, accurate temperature control, low power consumption, safe use at home. Basic requirements for industrial furnaces: large load volume, fast reaching operating temperatures and fast cooling (to increase the pace of production), Accurate temperature control. Basic requirements for laboratory furnaces: compactness, resistance to long-term thermal stress and chemical reactions, temperature control accuracy. We note that in describing the requirements for furnaces, we were guided by the prevailing stereotypes. In fact, we often come across how completely different furnaces are successfully used in all areas. Below, we will try to give some examples: 2 Years ago, we received an order for the manufacture of three muffle laboratory furnaces with a very interesting task. 2 furnaces were to reach a temperature of 900, and one furnace to 1100 degrees and continuously maintain this temperature for a whole year. 12 Months, 365 days, 8760 hours of continuous oven operation at a sufficiently high temperature. The purpose of these ovens is a laboratory experiment, but the ovens themselves are far from being truly laboratory. Our furnaces for horizontal loading ceramics successfully coped with this non-trivial task, moreover, after a continuous year of operation and preventive replacement of the thermocouple (the coils remained the same), they were launched the following year and successfully worked out. The volumes of the chambers of these furnaces are 40 and 60 liters, in contrast to the usual 2-3 liters for laboratory ones. But samples that were exposed to temperature for 365 days would not be able to be loaded into a small-volume furnace. The second interesting example: we have vertical loading ovens for sale with double-circuit temperature control at the top and bottom of the chamber. These muffle furnaces are large volumes from 150 to 300 liters, and when creating them, we wanted to achieve accurate temperatures at the top and bottom of the chamber, quickly reach operating temperatures and cool down to room temperature. Theoretically, they best fit the description of industrial kilns, but they have found their way into pottery schools. The secret is simple: at master classes, students use the same materials on the same day, cover them with glazes of different colors, but of the same temperature. And after a day of master classes, a lot of work is obtained that needs to be fired the same day, without putting it off indefinitely, because tomorrow, new students will come, and they will also need to use the oven for new products. As a result, it turns out that the number of heat cycles in modern pottery schools is commensurate with large-scale industries for which it is important to use fast firing programs, as well as equally fast cooling, for a new kiln load. The scrap firing and glaze firing programs are 2 different programs, and already in the pottery workshop 2 furnaces are working continuously. And if they used small volume ovens with very economical power and low cooling rates, they would have to have a lot of such ovens. And a lot of ovens means a large rental area, which is used inefficiently, but you have to pay for it every month. This is where energy saving comes into play. 3 Example: For beginners in pottery, we thoughtfully made a Project Economy top-loading oven. Distinctive features of these muffle furnaces: low cost, low weight, maintainability, highly efficient thermal insulation, which allows to reduce the energy consumption of the furnace to a minimum. At the same time, the heating rate of this furnace is high, but the cooling is slow and the temperature is limited to 1200 degrees, inclusive. Of the 100% newbies who contact us, 70% change their choice to a more professional SHVCH muffle furnace with horizontal loading. There is only one reason: if a novice ceramist considers his passion only as a hobby, the Project Economy muffle furnace will be enough for him. But most see their hobby as the beginning of their own business and are considering purchasing, albeit not a large, but an oven with a large potential for application temperatures (up to 1350 degrees inclusive), a larger loading chamber and more advanced control functionality of a modern thermostat. The cost of a professional oven is higher, but pay attention to the ovens highlighted on our website in green. The price of these furnaces is reduced and they are always in stock. These are the same stoves as the others on the list, but the most popular. We deliberately made their cost lower so as not to be scattered in production and storage. It is convenient for you to get an oven at a lower cost without orders and waiting, it is easier for us to make ovens of the same standard sizes and keep a limited selection of the best sizes in stock. As you can see from these two examples, there is no definite dogma. In each individual case, you need to consider the needs, prospects and find your optimal oven. It is our goal that any of our ovens have accurate temperature control - this is important in any field of activity. For our part, we are trying to actively develop and introduce new types of furnaces into our range. In 2023, we have three new furnaces: Classical round vertical loading muffle furnace made of lightweight bricks up to 1300 degrees, bell-type muffle furnace up to 1320 degrees and fusing furnace up to 950 degrees. You can find out about their capabilities in the description in the products on the website, in the VK group, on our Youtube channel or call us, and we will comprehensively consider your individual case.

How to connect the muffle furnace to the mains?
Any electric muffle furnace requires a quality connection. This applies not only to safety related to short circuits and fires, but also to the fact that the thermostat that controls the temperature in the furnace may not work correctly if there is poor contact in the connection, and also when using wires that are obviously smaller than the allowable cross section. Try to take the connection as seriously as possible, and be guided by our recommendations. Brief instructions for connecting in paper form are supplied with the muffle furnace, and in electronic form it is always available on our website. For a detailed video review visit our Youtube channel. To connect a muffle electric furnace, it is unacceptable to use ordinary household household sockets. This may cause fire and unstable operation of the thermostat. Power plugs and sockets are used for ovens (they are supplied with the oven). The connection is required to be made from the switchboard with a solid cable, with a cross section of 6 squares. It is preferable to use stranded wires (PVA, PVSU) if the wire does not imply rigid fixation in a strobe or cable channel. An automatic switch is installed in the switchboard, with a rating suitable for the furnace. If you question the competence of your electrician, or if there is none at all, contact us, we have an on-site specialist who can prepare the electrical connection for the furnace. UPD. Installing a voltage stabilizer on a muffle furnace. A good stabilizer is an excellent device for use in cottage settlements, summer cottages, private houses and all those places where there are strong power surges, or it is simply low, but the price of a quality stabilizer capable of working with muffle furnaces, especially large volume, is high. But, sometimes, the price can be higher than the cost of the furnace itself. We will help you avoid unnecessary expenses, heating elements can be counted individually for the voltage of your network and used without an expensive stabilizer. Most often, people encounter low voltage values in the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, but such cases are not uncommon in the private sector of the Moscow Region. Once, we went to a guarantee call in the city of Dubna. According to the owner of the stove, the stove did not even heat up to 1000 degrees, although this stove was used very little. Spirals could not wear out so much. After measuring the voltage, it turned out that instead of 220V, it was 160V in the network. This is a very strong voltage drop, and, as it turned out, it has a seasonal nature. In winter, the energy consumption of the village increases, people use heaters, boilers, and simply stay at home more and load the network. There is not enough network capacity for all neighbors. We installed other spirals, recalculated and adapted specifically to the values of the network of the owner of the stove, and lo and behold, the stove began to work correctly and gain temperature confidently. If you, as a customer, notify us in advance of your problems with the network, we will adjust the heating elements. And it will be possible to immediately put the muffle furnace into operation. UPD. Frequent power cuts for the muffle furnace. Many residents of the private sector are familiar with short-term power outages. For the Project muffle furnace, this is absolutely harmless. Suppose you have turned on the kiln for firing. Heating goes according to its program, at some point the electricity is turned off for a couple of minutes, and maybe for an hour. After that, the thermostat turns on and continues to work exactly from the step at which it stopped, and at the required rate of temperature rise. The program will be completed, even if there are frequent shutdowns, in the morning you will be able to unload your products from the oven. If the electricity was cut off for a long time, we advise you to unplug the stove from the socket, and after the restoration of the power supply, start the program from the first step, making sure that the stove has cooled down. To prevent a rapid rise in temperature. UPD. In very rare cases, the oven user may experience uncontrolled heating of the oven chamber. In this case, the device shows that the heating is turned off, but the temperature is rising. In this case, the fuse for exceeding the maximum temperature, or temperature control, is 20 degrees higher than the set one. This helps to avoid damage to your products, and preserves the functionality of the oven. Most often, this kind of problem is caused by powerful equipment of a nearby plant or workshop. Moreover, this problem can be intermittent. Morning-day, the furnace works perfectly, but at night the plant starts, for example, a powerful vacuum cleaner, and now, there are already interferences in the network that do not allow the thermostat to work correctly. We have developed special filters that are built into the oven control unit and can remove interference. These filters are not installed on all furnaces by default, so as not to increase the total cost of the furnace, but in case you encounter a similar problem, we will install this filter for you free of charge. I repeat, our customers rarely encounter this problem.

Do I need a stabilizer for a muffle furnace?

How much electricity does a muffle furnace consume?
There is no exact answer to this question - it depends on the volume of the furnace, the firing program, the firing temperature and the degree of loading of the chamber. For a 40-liter oven, a video was shot that will help answer this question: https://www.neprostopech.ru/single-post/2017/02/27/How many-kW-consumes-kiln-for-one-firing In the question about energy savings, I would definitely like to note the fact that all Project ovens use multi-position relays. Unlike conventional on/off relays, they have many intermediate degrees of opening. In simple terms, during operation, Project ovens constantly consume exactly the power that is needed to run the program, which is clearly demonstrated in the video.

What protections are installed in the muffle furnace?
All Project furnace control units are equipped with circuit breakers of the appropriate amperage, which protect the furnaces in case of network overloads, as well as surge filters (in large volume furnaces operating from a 380V network) to protect the control electrics from impulse and high-frequency interference online. Also, in all furnaces, a fuse for exceeding the maximum temperature is installed. The temperature of its operation can be easily changed up to a degree for each specific task. For example, with a maximum temperature of 1200 degrees in your firing program, the cutout temperature can be set to 1205 degrees. In this case, if the temperature for some reason reaches 1205°C, the power supply to the heating elements is forcibly turned off. This will completely eliminate the possibility of overheating of the oven chamber and the rejection of your products due to overheating. As practice shows, in the overwhelming majority, the cause of overheating of the furnace lies in an incorrectly set or incorrectly changed firing program, as well as poor-quality connection of the furnace to the network (a wire of a thinner section than recommended; poor contacts; lengthening of the wire going to the furnace with twists, etc.). etc.).
-
What is the warranty for the muffle furnace?
The guarantee for all Project ovens covers not only the muffle, the body and the control unit, but also the spirals (in case they fail without external influence, for example, due to a glaze drop on them), a thermocouple (in case there was no excess of the maximum temperature and external influence), delivery and is also 1 year. That is, we vouch for the performance of any part of our furnace. When sending to the regions, we use the services of the transport company Business Lines and we are sure of the quality of delivery, but despite this, no one is immune from natural disasters or the notorious human factor, and for your peace of mind, we are ready to take responsibility for the safety of the furnace even before how did you get it. But even after 1 year of using the oven, you have nothing to worry about. All data for all our ovens is stored in a database, so if, for example, spirals fail, we can send you a kit specifically for your oven and assist in replacing them.

In the event of a warranty case, who pays for the shipping?"
When a warranty case occurs, two things are priority: the speed of troubleshooting and the complete absence of costs on the part of the client, therefore, delivery is carried out completely at our expense in both directions. If the delivery of the oven to us is problematic for the client for various reasons, and troubleshooting does not require special tools and skills, then another option is possible: sending the necessary spare parts to the client, of course, also at our expense, and competent technical support in any convenient form ( phone, social networks, etc.).

What payment methods can be made? Is there an installment?
We work under a manufacturing contract. Our contracts are of 2 types - for individuals with payment in cash or by card and for legal entities with payment to a current account. When paying to the current account, along with the finished furnace, the documents necessary for accounting are provided - the original contract for manufacturing and invoice Torg-12. Contracts are signed remotely, i.e. when ordering a furnace, we send the client a contract for review, at the request of the client, changes can be made to it. After that, we sign the contract, certify it with a seal and send a scan to the client. When manufacturing a furnace to order, an advance payment of 50%, the second part of the payment is made after the manufacture of the furnace, mandatory trial firing and complete preparation of the furnace for transfer to the client. For individuals, in case of delivery of the furnace by our transport or pickup, it is possible to pay the second part in cash. When buying a furnace from stock, a similar contract is concluded, but the production time is indicated 3 days. In this case, we send the oven after receiving 100% prepayment. Regarding the installment plan, the situation is as follows. We are regularly approached with this question and we try to meet halfway, but naturally not to the detriment of ourselves. because we need to purchase materials, pay for the premises and the work of our employees. All issues related to the installment plan and its conditions are discussed on an individual basis.
-
How long does a muffle furnace take to produce?
The production time for our standard ovens is 2 weeks (for ovens powered by 220V) or 3 weeks (for ovens powered by 380V) from the date of receipt of prepayment. These terms are specified in the manufacturing contracts. In fact, almost always, it turns out to manufacture and transfer the oven to the client before this time. In the case of manufacturing non-standard furnaces, the production time is negotiated individually. As far as possible, we try to keep the most popular furnaces in stock. If the furnace required by the client is in stock, then the contract specifies the production time of 3 days, but the very next day the furnace is completely ready for transfer to the client.

What is the service life of a muffle furnace?
The oven can work indefinitely, but like any technique, it requires the replacement of consumables: spirals, thermocouples, thermal paste for relays. In addition, the service life directly depends on the frequency of use and, first of all, on the accuracy of use. We recommend changing the thermal paste once every 2 years. We are often asked about the resource of spirals. We honestly answer everyone that no manufacturer of furnaces can name the real service life of heating elements, because. it is influenced by a very large number of variables: firing programs (setting speed, holding times, temperatures of steps in the program, maximum temperature), loading of the furnace chamber, properties of the material being fired, accuracy of loading / unloading, air humidity in the room where the furnace is installed, etc. . In all our furnaces, the characteristics of the heating elements are calculated by technologists. The main of these characteristics is the surface load p (W / cm2), the value of which is calculated in such a way that the heaters work without overheating, which, of course, has a positive effect on their resource. In general, 1350 degrees is the maximum temperature for eurofechral. Miracles do not happen, if you really need such a firing temperature, then get ready that the service life of the spirals will be less than, for example, at 1200 degrees. But by how much, it's impossible to say for sure. Heating elements in Project ovens are quickly and conveniently changed, in addition, all data for all our ovens is stored in a database, so if the spirals fail, we can send you a kit specifically for your oven and assist in replacing them. The thermocouple is the most important sensor and the safety of the entire furnace depends on the correctness of its readings. We have friends who have not changed a couple of THA for 13 years and everything is ok. When the thermocouple fails due to natural wear or mechanical impact, the thermostat will display the corresponding error, but another case is possible (its probability is quite small, but nevertheless) - over time, the safety of the junction will be violated and the thermostat will show an incorrect temperature, and we, As furnace manufacturers, we are interested in the readings being always correct, so we strongly recommend replacing the thermocouple once a year for preventive maintenance. By the time it takes 5-15 min. THA thermocouples for our furnaces are always available, platinum-platinum-rhodium thermocouples are almost always available.

What documentation comes with the stove? What are the terms of the contract?
All Project ovens come with a passport, safety instructions, recommendations for using the oven, a warranty card, brief and detailed instructions for the Oven thermostat, as well as a socket for connecting the oven and spare fuses for exceeding the maximum temperature. Also, at the request of the client, we are ready to provide certified copies of certificates of conformity and the results of passing tests for all materials used in the manufacture of the furnace. What are the capabilities and parameters of the Aries thermostat?
3 firing programs are stored in the memory of the Aries thermostat TRM-251, in each of which you can set up to 5 steps. Each step, in turn, specifies the temperature of that step, the time it takes to rise to that temperature, and, if necessary, the holding time at that temperature, allowing complex firing programs to be set. For those who are not familiar with the thermostat Aries TPM -251, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with our video: https://www.neprostopech.ru/single-post/2017/03/19/Video-instruction-OWEN All initial thermostat settings in Project ovens are already set: time scale in hours-minutes, required thermocouple type, automatic PID tuning (required for more accurate firing programs in the future), etc.

What materials are used in Project muffle furnaces?
In the standard sizes of our furnaces, the main lining material is fireclay fiber plates with chromium (ShVPKh 550), operating temperature up to 1350°C. The outer lining is made of MKRRH 150 wool to create an air gap between the main lining and the furnace body. This results in a low heating of the furnace body (up to 100 ° C) even at the highest temperatures. The hood is made of MKR tube, which can withstand prolonged heating much higher than 1350 degrees. The lining of the furnace can be additionally treated with a special fixing impregnation, which will protect the plates from mechanical impact when loading or unloading the furnace. Primary lining with SHVPKh boards provides an almost unlimited number of heating and cooling cycles. Even if you accidentally damage the slabs when loading or unloading the oven, there are a large number of different repair mortars for restoring SHVPKh 550 material. An important feature of our lining materials is safety. When heated or cooled, no gases (including organics) are emitted from them; during operation, the stove is absolutely safe for breathing and does not emit any harmful substances. We have many certificates of conformity and test results for all materials used in the furnace. Stoves that are assembled on special orders can be designed and manufactured using other types of thermal insulation materials. Depending on the task: lightness, heating rate, application environments, mechanical effects, etc. Steel treated with a heat-resistant composition to prevent metal oxidation, galvanized or stainless steel sheet, in some cases perforated, and decorative aluminum corners are used for the furnace body.
-
What type of thermocouple to choose?
The two types of thermocouples have different directions. All our ceramic muffle furnaces, both 1250°C and 1350°C, are absolutely identical. All of them are designed and manufactured with a reserve of power and temperature capabilities of thermal insulation materials. The main difference in them is the thermocouple. The thermocouple is the main and only sensor of the furnace, based on the indicators of which the furnace is controlled according to the specified firing programs. In the muffle furnace up to 1250°C, a chromel-alumel thermocouple ТХА (type K) 1.2 mm is installed. In a muffle furnace up to 1350°C - platinum-platinum-rhodium (type S). For more information, you can watch our video.
-
What volume to choose a muffle furnace?
One of the main points when choosing a muffle furnace is the volume of the chamber. It is primarily selected based on the average items that you plan to fire in it. As a rule, masters are divided into three main groups: work with tall items (vases, figures, jugs, figurines, candlesticks), wide ones (plates, dishes, ceramic tiles, bowls, saucers) and freelance - these are the masters for that day spent at the workplace is a new creative discovery, self-knowledge and a fantasy game. From January 1, 2018, guided by the preferences of the craftsmen, we have increased the range of our stoves. Now any of the volumes will be presented in a wide, deep, tall or classic square format. For more information, you can watch our video.
-
Do I need an extractor hood for a muffle furnace?
A hood for a muffle furnace. To install or not depends on the room in which the stove will be located (area, the presence of windows, the presence of central ventilation), and whether there will be people in this room during firing. Nothing is released from the kiln itself during firing (more precisely, it is released, but during the first firing, which we carry out in our production. During this firing, organic matter burns out). And then it depends on what masses and glazes you will fire in the oven. It is best to check with the store's technologists before buying. A household kitchen hood over the stove is a good idea. It will not completely remove all the discharge from the firing products, but the difference is usually significant. But be sure to keep in mind that kitchen hoods are not designed for such high temperatures, so they should not be placed / lowered close to the roof of the stove. There must be a distance of at least 30cm.

Are there shelves (flakes) in muffle furnaces?
We do not produce our own breeches (shelves). But at the request of the buyer, we can equip the oven with any number of breams and legs of the desired height. You can also order shelves yourself at any store, but as a rule, these stores do not cut. We do not charge extra for refractory supplies and order ourselves from the same stores where our customers do, but we do cutting and fitting to the furnace chamber free of charge. Also, when ordering shelves and legs from us, we send a bag of Kaolin, a non-stick coating for treating bream surfaces, in the kit. If molten material drips onto the float, it will not be damaged. The material of the proposed breeches varies depending on the operating temperature of the furnace, respectively, the cost will also be different. Example: The cost of one breech for an oven of 40 liters up to 1250°C is 1500₽, 80 liters up to 1250°C is 2400₽. Stands 50mm - 100₽, 100mm - 150₽, 150mm - 200₽.

What are the delivery options?
When transporting the oven, you should be guided by the following: 1) Only transport in a vertical position (do not tilt) 2) Prevent moisture from entering the thermal insulation 3) Avoid excessive vibration, shock and falling of the oven Carry the oven without special packaging, only by special handles (if there are none, then by the oven base) We prefer to send Muffle Furnaces over long distances by the PEK transport company, and for delivery to Moscow and the Moscow region, use the services of Dostavista. Delivery by other transport companies as agreed. Delivery by our car is possible upon individual request. For an approximate example, the cost of delivery of a 60-liter furnace from us (Moscow region, Elektrostal) to a client from Irkutsk is 11000 rubles, and to Cheboksary the same volume of the furnace is 7200 rubles. (the cost of delivery is indicated to the terminals in these cities, the relevance of the price is from 01/20/2023) The estimated cost of delivery by the Dostavista service from us (Moscow region, Elektrostal) to a client from Moscow is 3000-3900 rubles, and the size of the oven does not affect the price, only the remoteness and traffic congestion on the day of delivery. (the cost of delivery is indicated to the entrance, the relevance of the price is from 20.01.2023) Rise to the floor and delivery around the city in the shopping center PEC, as a rule, are expensive. It is better to try to cope on your own or use the services of third-party loaders, Avito, for example. Dostavista delivery delivers the goods to the address, and most often, you can agree with the driver to help you get to the floor. But you need to try to do this in advance and have a second loader, since 2 people are required to carry the stove. The cost of lifting is negotiable, but usually from 500 to 1000 rubles A muffle furnace is a rather fragile device, the mechanical impact from a fall can be fatal for it. The basis of most thermal insulation materials is low weight and high porosity, because of this, most often, they are brittle. Design solutions in the furnace allow using it only in a given vertical position. Fixation of plates, bricks is not rigid, but through various soft shock-absorbing mats. This makes it possible, during heating and cooling of the furnace, to expand all its materials and avoid excessive cracking. Water entering the lining destroys its physical properties. Most materials absorb moisture very well, and it is very difficult to dry them. Water is clogged in the fibers for a long time. Materials increase significantly in weight and lose their shape. Up to the complete destruction of the furnace chamber. There will be nothing from steam when drying products or a few drops of water, but prolonged exposure to the oven in the rain can ruin even a new oven. We try very hard to make our oven packaging of high quality. Initially, it is packed in a polyethylene bag, then it is wrapped with a stretch film and fixed on a pallet with strapping tapes. Then, from strips of plywood, an overlay is assembled on the top of the furnace to protect the exhaust tube. And, at the end, a full crate on a pallet in a transport company. We are confident in our packaging, and therefore, we give our own guarantee for delivery. Project muffle furnaces operate in all regions of our country, sometimes the path of the furnace can be very long and difficult. For example, in some regions of Yakutia, delivery was carried out bypassing 3 ferry crossings, and it’s not worth writing about the remoteness of the Sakhalin Peninsula from the Moscow Region. We should not exclude the human factor and the surprises of weather conditions. So 2 muffle furnaces 40 liters up to 1350 degrees were completely broken on the way to Krasnoyarsk - the truck of the transport company overturned. We took care of all the worries with the insurance company, and 2 new ovens were sent to the client. Despite the fact that payments in full, as expected, we did not wait, less than 50% of the cost was reimbursed. In any case, it is easier for us to incur certain expenses and withstand the bureaucratic onslaught of the insurance company than to let down a client who feels, to put it mildly, unprotected in such a situation. The main task of the client is to try to inspect the packaging of the oven for damage on the territory of the transport company, if something is in doubt, then do not sign the acceptance certificate until you contact us. If, nevertheless, the act is signed, the oven is unpacked and hidden damage from transportation is revealed, you need to contact us in a timely manner and we will find the best solution to the problem.

How much does shipping cost?
The cost of delivery varies depending on the distance and the choice of delivery option. But most likely, our ovens have already been delivered to your region or even to your city, so the approximate cost of delivery can be understood from the table of cities where delivery has already been made. To do this, you need to find your city or a nearby one in the list and decide on the size of the stove you want to order. If your city is not on the list or you have some non-standard delivery option (for example, on 4 ferries, etc., there have already been such cases), then the easiest way is to contact us. Our specialists will calculate the most accurate delivery amount and offer various options that will be the most optimal, taking into account the cost and delivery time.

How is self-pickup done?
Self-pickup is possible on any day of the week and at any time. We are well aware that there are no traffic jams at night, and on weekends or holidays you have free time. But we ask you to notify us in advance before your arrival, as we must have time to properly pack the oven and its accessories. Our production and warehouse do not work around the clock and it will take time for us to appoint a person responsible for loading, unloading and displaying goods. And so you decided to purchase a furnace from stock or you were notified that the ordered furnace is ready for shipment. In the navigator we fill in the Moscow region, the city of Noginsk, st. Garage house 4. It will lead you to an industrial area with a barrier, then you need to call your manager or the person who is waiting for you to meet you. Loading and placement of the furnace in your car is carried out by our forces. If you wish, or if the stove simply does not fit into your car, you can order delivery by our car or transport company on the spot. Your task is to decide on the tea or coffee you choose and how much sugar to add, we take care of all other difficulties. The main thing is to inform your manager on what type of car the furnace will be taken out, since packaging for trucks (Gazelle, Sobol, etc.) is made one type of packaging (fixation on a pallet 0.8 by 1.2 meters), for cars other.

Are there different packaging options for the oven?
We have packaging standards that vary by shipping option and vehicle type. Depending on the type, the desired packaging option is selected. Our main task is to ensure that the oven cannot be mechanically damaged, as well as isolated from moisture. In the case of self-pickup by a passenger car, the packaging is minimal in order not to increase the overall dimensions. Since we give a 100% guarantee for the delivery of the oven, it is in our interests to make the most effective packaging.

What transport companies provide delivery?
We send most of the ovens to various regions of Russia by the Delovye Linii shopping mall, as we work with them under a contract, and they are aware of the rules for transporting and packaging our ovens. The estimated cost of delivery given in the table is based on the cost of "Business Lines". If there is no TC "Business Lines" in your region, then we will calculate the cost in other transport companies, which will be preferable for you ("KIT", "Energy", "PEK", etc.). But we will no longer be able to give the same guarantee as in Business Lines. If you would like to receive delivery outside of Russia or even outside the customs union of Russia (members of the customs union of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus), in this case, our specialists will calculate the cost in various companies, but keep in mind that it will take about 10 working days, as many international transport companies do not allow you to calculate the estimated cost of delivery, but work on request.

Is it possible to deliver to the entrance with a lift to the floor?
If the delivery is carried out by our car, then of course we will deliver the stove to the entrance and we will be able to provide all possible assistance in unloading it (no additional costs, everything is included in the delivery cost). If you need to raise the oven to the floor or transport it to remote distances, then you need to warn about this in advance so that we can send the required number of loaders together with the driver. If you are planning delivery of Delovye Linii shopping mall, then they have several options: delivery to the terminal in your city (this is the cheapest and in this case you will need to come and pick up the stove yourself); delivery to the entrance (as soon as the cargo arrives at the terminal, the operator of "Business Lines" will contact you and agree on the time and date of delivery, as a rule, delivery around the city costs them an average of 500-1500₽, excluding unloading). delivery with a skid to the premises (it is best to notify the Business Lines operator in advance about such a service and clarify the cost of services). It is important to remember that free storage of cargo at the TC terminal is limited and you should not delay picking it up. The best option is to order delivery to the entrance, and unload and transport the cargo on your own or hire movers (for example, at Avito). To move and lift the oven up to 120 liters, 2 people are enough and one person who will open the doors and coordinate the transport.

What are the delivery guarantees?
When delivering muffle furnaces and additional equipment to our cars or TC "Business Lines" we give a 100% guarantee. No matter how good the packaging and shipping company is, accidents do happen sometimes. The human factor or weather conditions can still resist a trouble-free delivery. But even if such a misfortune happened, you should not worry about it. We insure all our cargoes and take care of all proceedings with the transport company and insurance companies. What is needed for this? Before you accept the cargo from the shopping mall and sign for its delivery, you need to disassemble the packaging (as a rule, if there is damage, then the packaging is already damaged and this can be seen immediately), inspect the cargo. If it has obvious defects from transportation damage (violation of packaging, furnace body, lining, electrical equipment, moisture ingress), in this case, you need to take the maximum number of photos of the cargo and inform the transport company that you will not pick up the damaged cargo. Next, you need to contact us in order to inform about the incident. If exactly the same oven is in stock, we will send you another oven within 2 days (we will cover the cost of inter-terminal delivery). If the stove was made to order, then within 2 weeks we will assemble a new one and send it to you (we will cover the cost of inter-terminal delivery). If the shipment was lost by TK, then we will also send you another one.

What safety rules must be observed when using a muffle furnace?
Security. Access to the oven should be limited to children and pets. The location of the oven near combustible/explosive materials is not allowed. But it is worthwhile to understand that the body of the furnace does not warm up much. At the maximum temperature values in the furnace chamber, the body temperature is heated up to no more than 80 degrees (ceramic fiber furnaces), 120 degrees (ShVPKh furnaces), 160 degrees (lightweight brick furnaces). These temperatures are reached in the upper part of the oven, while the bottom and legs of the oven are much less heated and most often 20 degrees above room temperature. For example: the case of a home kettle heats up to 100 degrees. You can watch the video on our Youtube channel for more details. Our stoves have all the necessary safety certificates to use them on the territory of shopping centers, schools, kindergartens, children's art schools, including for children with disabilities.

Can the muffle furnace and the control unit be installed in different rooms?
If the temperature in these rooms is approximately the same, then it is possible without lengthening the wires going from the control unit to the oven. If the thermocouple wire is extended, the error in the temperature reading will increase (the longer the wire, the greater the error). If the temperature in the rooms varies significantly, for example, the oven is on an unheated veranda, and the control unit is in a warm room, then the temperature inside the oven chamber will differ from that which will be on the thermostat display. Aries corrects the readings of the thermocouple sensor and takes into account the temperature difference between the junction itself in the furnace and the temperature where Aries is located. This difference must be minimal in order for the temperature readings to be correct.

How to work with the thermostat "Aries"?
The thermostat that we install in the Project oven as standard is Aries TPM-251. This device has been produced for more than ten years and has proven itself in terms of reliability. 3 firing programs are stored in its memory, in each of which up to 5 steps can be set.

What programs are configured on the thermostat initially?
Among our clients are many beginners. For some, the first firing is successful, for some it is not (especially glaze firing). So we were puzzled by the question of optimal programs for waste and watered firing. They are stuffed in all our ovens. It is worth noting that there are no universal programs that are ideal for everyone, so clients usually adjust these programs a little for themselves, although many, especially beginners, use them and are very satisfied. The first scrap program up to 900 degrees for masses MKF-2, red clay, semi-porcelain, faience, MKL, blue clay, all types of chamotte and white Spanish PM.The second program is optimal for poured glaze firing with a range of 1000-1100, 950-1150,950-1250,1020-1080 and the like. From the recommendations of experienced potters:Beginners are not advised to work with high-temperature, refractory (temperature range over 1200) and flowing glazes (it is better to check this point immediately with the technologists of the store where the glaze is purchased). The material must be selected according to the temperature regime for glazes. The temperature range must match for the glaze and for the mass.Gzhel fusible glazes are recommended to be fired no more than 1000 degrees, and Khors fusible glazes 1050 degrees. (in the firing program, only the last maximum temperature value needs to be changed). When you are doing a Glaze firing for the first time, we do not recommend under any circumstances to load a full furnace chamber with your work. It is best to carry out one test firing with glazed test pieces having vertical surfaces (to check for glaze leakage, temperature gradient in the chamber (if the furnace is large). If the glaze still flows or does not burn, the next firing can already be corrected.Under the product covered with glaze, it is best to put a loaf coated with kaolin (non-stick impregnation), so that the flowing glaze does not damage the furnace muffle. The third glaze firing program for faience, semi-porcelain and all types of chamotte. Glazes should be selected with a range above 1200 degrees. All temperatures in the programs are relevant for furnaces with a chromel-alumel thermocouple (up to 1250), but if you are happy owners of a furnace with a platinum thermocouple (up to 1350), then you need to correct the maximum temperature readings, selecting them empirically in the error range of the platinum-rhodium thermocouple. This range is within 40 degrees and you need to start the adjustment with an underburn of 40 degrees. Gradually reducing it until you achieve the ideal option.

How does the ambient temperature affect the thermostat?
In the passport for the thermostat, the operating temperature is indicated from 0 to 60 degrees, in fact, Aries TRM-251 gives an error when working with an ambient temperature below -5. In order for the error to disappear, the temperature in the oven control unit must be above this temperature. The easiest way to do this is to order the additional option automatic heating of the control unit. In this case, when the ambient temperature is below -5 degrees, you just need to turn on the furnace and wait for a while (usually 5-10 minutes, depending on what temperature) and the furnace is ready for firing. There is also another more budgetary, but less convenient way: put an electric heater of the “Veterok” type near the control unit to a temperature above -5 degrees, after which the furnace also becomes ready for firing.

How to replace a thermocouple?
Replacing a thermocouple in any of our furnaces takes no more than 5-10 minutes. We are well aware that this is a consumable material and therefore we have provided a design so that replacing a thermocouple does not cause problems for anyone. If you decide to change the type of thermocouple from THA type K (chromel-alumel) to type S (platinum-platinum-rhodium) or vice versa, this is not difficult. After replacement, you will need to make adjustments to the thermostat settings. For all questions, you can contact us. We strongly recommend using our thermocouples for guaranteed and correct operation of the oven.

How to maintain and repair a muffle furnace?
A muffle furnace is primarily an electrical appliance that needs to be replaced with consumables. These include a thermocouple, spirals (heating elements). It is also necessary to carry out PPR (scheduled preventive work with power electrics and electrical connection of the furnace. Kiln maintenance intervals are different for everyone, as each user uses different temperatures, temperature rise rates, different firing intervals. We recommend first of all to be attentive to the thermocouple and to replace it prematurely. If firing is carried out 2-3 times a week for two years up to temperatures of 1050°C, then a thermocouple with such loads can work for 2,3,4 or more years. We have customers who have used the same thermocouple for 7 years. If firing at temperatures of 1200 degrees is also carried out 2-3 times a week, then on average the thermocouple will last for 8-12 months. Accordingly, the higher the firing temperature and frequency, the faster the thermocouple will fail. But there is nothing to worry about, the cost of a thermocouple (chromel-alumel) is minimal, we always have them in stock. Replacing the thermocouple will take no more than 5 to 10 minutes. When the thermocouple fails, the thermostat will show an error indicating the failure of the thermocouple. After replacing the thermocouple, the error on the temperature controller will immediately disappear and the oven will be ready for operation again. We advise you not to wait until the thermocouple fails. It is not harmful to the oven. As always, a thermocouple failure may coincide with a time when you have a lot of orders and need firing every day. Summarizing the above, it is better to have one spare thermocouple so that in case of urgent need it can be quickly replaced. If the thermocouple has worked for more than 1 year, we recommend replacing it so that it does not burn out at the right time. Also, be careful when loading and unloading the furnace, do not allow mechanical contact with your thermocouple products. After prolonged firing, the thermocouple junction becomes very fragile. Spirals (heating elements) have several basic criteria to understand that it is time to change them. If the deformation of the spirals is visible: sagging, inclination of the spirals, reduction of the interturn distance, flattening - this means that the heating elements should be replaced. As with a thermocouple, the life of the coils depends on temperatures, chamber load, etc. On average, a set of spirals works 2-3 years, provided that the furnace is operated up to 1250 ° C 2-3 times a week. We store the characteristics and all dimensions of even the most non-standard stoves in our customer base in order to send you an exact copy of the heating elements that are in your stove if necessary. Replacing the coils will take no more than 40-60 minutes. In the design of the furnace, we first of all thought over the replacement of consumables, so there is nothing difficult in these manipulations and absolutely anyone can handle it. If you have any questions, you can contact us for advice. We will try to explain everything “on the fingers” and in difficult situations we are ready to shoot a video help. Often during firing, a drop of glaze can get on one spiral or the spiral can be mechanically damaged during loading. In this case, it is not at all necessary to change all the spirals. The design and structure of the connection of the spirals allow only a damaged spiral to be replaced. In our ovens, we try to use the thickest possible wire (from 1.8mm to 4mm) so that the life of the heating elements is maximum. A refractory tile company has bought several 40 liter kilns up to 1350°C from us and has been firing every day to the maximum (1320-1350°C) for a year now. There are no problems with spirals, despite the fact that they use small ovens that are not suitable for industrial production. Do not be afraid to operate the furnace at its maximum temperatures, if any. If we declare a furnace up to 1350°C, then it will work without problems at these temperatures. As for thermal insulation, there are a huge number of repair and impregnating mixtures for SHVPKh boards. And if you accidentally damage the oven chamber, then any chip or crack can be easily repaired. But in order not to study the properties of all compounds and their application technique, it is best to contact us. Take a picture of the problem area, and we will select the best repair option or offer to restore it ourselves. Carrying out PPR (scheduled preventive work). Absolutely any of our ovens, even the smallest, is equipped with a power outlet and plug. All wire sections are selected with a large margin of power. But any electrical appliance, especially one that consumes a lot of electricity, needs to be pulled through all power connections. Over time, some contacts may loosen and should be stretched. The same applies to your electrical panel or other power equipment. Carrying out a PPR is a whole range of activities and it will not be possible to describe it in a nutshell. In short, all contacts in line with the furnace once a year are subject to visual inspection, cleaning and pulling. This will be handled by an electrician who has the appropriate education, approval and work experience. On this issue, you can also contact us.

How far does the thermocouple stick out in the muffle furnace chamber?
The chromel-alumel thermocouple is located at the top of the rear plate. It is located as close as possible to the top of the chamber. Spy enters the chamber by 1.5 centimeters. We also install platinum-rhodium in the back wall in the corner. The pair protrudes by 5-7 centimeters, but goes along the right wall, so it does not take up a workplace in the oven.

Uncontrolled rise in temperature.
